The Farmer I awoke to someone pulling on my arm. I looked up and saw a bright shining face smiling down at me. "Oh I am so relieved" gasped this strange little old man. " I thought you were going to sleep all day." I realized it was late morning by the position of the sun. "Who are you?" I asked. "Oh my name is Samual, I am the keeper of the fields. It is lucky that I found you. In another hour I would have started the harvest. You must go now. Hurry along the harvesters will be starting soon and you know what happens if you are in the fields during harvest. It is difficult enough for me but you city dwellers can not survive. Now run along." He was practically dragging me to my feet. He began pushing me along the trail. I had to stop to ask, "How do I get back to town?" He answered " ride the wind. You must hurry though." I started walking along the path with no idea what he meant by ride the wind. I walked for several hours.
By now I was starting to get quiet fatigued. I had eaten and drank nothing for more than a day. I decided to try and see what the grass would taste like. I broke off a piece thinking I could suck some juice from the stem for my thirst. As I put it into my mouth it seemed to change. My mouth was suddenly full with a sweet liquid. I gagged from the unexpected change. I again tried to put the grass into my mouth but as soon as it contacted the inside of my mouth it formed into a mouthful of this sweet but wonderful tasting liquid. I ate or should I say drink several stems of this grass. I was starting to feel satisfied. I was refreshed. I felt like running and so I did. I ran for maybe thirty minutes before I noticed a small grass hut beside the trail I was following. I noticed that the grass outside of the hut had been worn down by many foot trails coming from the glade. It looks like some kind of meeting place. I went up to this old hand hewn wooden door and knocked. It was of some kind of wood that had a greenish tint to it naturally. No one came to the door. I knocked again very strong. Still there was silent from within. I decided to try the door. It was latched with a huge brass ring over a nail I lifted the ring and pushed open the door. It creaked as I opened it. I peered in at a dry dark room with a rock floor. I did not see anyone inside, so I eased through the doorway. The floor was of solid rock and in the center of the room there was a clear blue pool of water that gave of a soft bluish glow. The room was bare except for this pool in the center. I moved toward the pool cautiously. I felt like I was treading on something very personal for someone by being here. I was just a little nervous thinking any moment someone was going to run in and ask me what I was doing breaking in to his or her house. I looked into the pool and noticed it had seats carved in stone about the outer walls of the pool.
